Cash PrizeFor the twenty-sixth year, Canon is awarding the Canon Women Photojournalist Grant to a photographer in recognition of her contribution to photojournalism.
This scholarship, awarded annually in Perpignan during the Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan International Photojournalism Festival, is funded by Canon with a grant of 8,000 euros. It is intended to support a female photographer in the creation of a photojournalism project. It is open to professional female photojournalists, with no restrictions on age or nationality.
The winner will be selected in June by a jury composed of professionals from the fields of photography and journalism. Selection criteria include photographic quality, as well as journalistic approach and the relevance of the chosen subject.
The grant will be awarded in September 2026 during one of the screening evenings at the Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan festival. The supported project must be completed within one year so that it can be presented at the 2027 edition of the festival.
