212 Photography IstanbulThe International 212 Photography Competition, held every year within the scope of 212 Photography Istanbul, is pleased to announce their ongoing open-call for photographers and those interested in the art of photography from all around the world, regardless of age and experience, until September 8, 2024.
.
The International 212 Photography Competition, which will take place between September 28 - October 13, 2024, aims to discover and open space for photographers from with different backgrounds, worldwide.
In addition to the €5000 prize it gives to the winner, 212 Photography Istanbul contributes to increasing the visibility of the participants internationally with an exhibition that features the last 10 finalists during the festival. At the same time, The International 212 Photography Competition provides space for the award-winning names and those highlighted by the jury to take part in many areas and supports their announcement in the international and local press.
This year, like every year, the jury consists of artists that are influential and well-known in their dedicated fields: Maja Dyrehauge Gregersen (managing director of Copenhagen Photo Festival), Sandrine Hermand Grisel (photographer & creator of All About Photo), James Kerwin (photographer), Laura Sackett (photographer, partner & creative director in LensCulture) and Oğuz Karakütük (co-founder & director of Ka Studio).
This year, the last 10 finalists in the competition will be announced on September 23, 2024 and the winner of the competition will be announced via online channels at the beginning of the festival on September 28. Applications for The 7th International 212 Photography Competition can be made at 212photographyistanbul.com until September 8, 2024.
212 Photography Istanbul, which offers a discovery route in the city of Istanbul with its alternative venues as well as new themes, collaborations and rich content added every year, has expanded its program in its 7th year and will be able to be visited in nearly 30 different places in Istanbul between September 28 - October 13, 2024.
