Cash PrizeThe Vivian Maier International Photo Competition celebrates photography in all its forms
and pays tribute to the unique work of Vivian Maier, a street photographer and portraitist
whose talent was only recognized after her death. This competition invites photographers
from around the world, amateur and professional, to share their vision of the world through
the lens, inspired by Maier’s sensitive and curious eye.
The event aims to promote the creativity and unique perspectives of contemporary
photography. Participants can explore various themes, ranging from portraiture and street
photography to urban life and everyday moments, capturing the beauty, emotion, and
hidden stories of our society.
The Vivian Maier International Photo Competition is more than just a competition: it is a
tribute to photography that captures the essence of life, invites reflection and celebrates
creation without borders.
Among the best rated photos, 6 prizes will be awarded:
Grand Prix 2026 – chosen by the jury
2nd Prize – chosen by the jury
3rd Prize – chosen by the jury
Association Prize
Favorite of the President
Favorite of the organizers
A diploma from the Association Vivian Maier et le Champsaur with the prize obtained will be delivered to the author.
A slideshow of the best photos will be created to be shown at the Maison de la Photographie Vivian Maier, in Pisançon, during the “Vivian Maier’s Legacy” events presented in 2026, the centenary of Vivian’s birth.
