We are excited to announce the launch of the open call for the Photography+ Emerging Talent Issue.
We invite recent MA and BA graduates, and image-based artists within the first five years of their practice, to submit their work for the opportunity to be featured in the next issue of our online magazine, Photography+.
Each year, we dedicate one Photography+ issue to showcase the work of recent graduates. This year, we are expanding this opportunity to support and celebrate the innovative contributions of international voices within the first five years of their artistic practice.
10 Awardees will receive the following
Feature in the next issue of Photography+, our online magazine.
A selected artist will receive a one-year Photoworks membership, along with mentoring from our curatorial and editorial teams.
Our printing partner, Spectrum Photographic, will award a selected artist a £200 printing voucher and an Instagram takeover on their account
Artists will be selected through this open call, and a jury panel of curators, editors, and artists will make the final selections.
How to enter
This is a free of charge international open call and all recent graduates and emerging artists are welcome to apply. Please submit via Picter up to 10 images from a single project alongside a statement of no more than 200 words by 30 June 2025.
Please be aware that you can enter once with one single project only – we cannot accept multiple projects. Your entry does not necessarily need to be your final graduation project, you can submit any recent body of work.
This opportunity is funded by Photoworks, Picter and our print partner Spectrum Photographic. Photoworks is a registered charity and part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio.
