The Glasgow Gallery of Photography's mission is to advance the arts, heritage and cultural sector through exhibitions of photographic works as a means for artistic, community and personal expression.
The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running a month long exhibition in July called Travel. With global travel slowly returning to pre-pandemic levels, we want to see images that reflect that. Whether that is showsing how things haven't changed or how people are changing their habits when it comes to travel. It could the difference between international and local travel, or the locations that you are traveling to, new or familiar. However you wish to interpret the theme of Travel, we want to see those images. Travel is an open call for photographers to submit up to 8 images for an exhibition with the theme of Travel.
Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed in a month long exhibition in our gallery, with their work also appearing online in an online gallery on our website.
All participants that are selected to take part in the exhibition will receive a digital certificate of participation and will also be put forward for a chance to be named Photographer of the Month.
We want to see work from both emerging and established photographers. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate as we believe that photography is for everyone.
Both Scottish and International photographers are welcome.
