We're thrilled to invite you to participate in the 22nd edition of the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for women photographers, an exceptional platform for showcasing your most impressive photography work, be it a series or individual images.

The contest will be juried by the team of curators of FotoNostrum, Mediterranean House of Photography.

The top four photographers in both the professional and non-professional categories, for series and single image submissions alike, will be awarded not only a fully funded solo exhibition at the prestigious FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona in December 2024, but also a chance to take part the 8th Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography. It offers a unique chance to exhibit your work alongside talented women from around the world.

Furthermore, one of the four overall winners will receive the honor of having their work published in a book, in an initial edition of 100 copies, curated, designed, and sponsored by FotoNostrum Publishing.

In addition, selected artists (category winners and honorable mentions) from the Julia Margaret Cameron Award will be invited to exhibit their works at the Biennial alongside the winners. This offers a broader platform for exposure and recognition. Please note that while the gallery will cover the setup costs of the exhibition, these artists will be responsible for the cost of printing and framing their work, as outlined in the rules.

Since 2009, the Julia Margaret Cameron Award has been instrumental in bringing the work of over 2,400 women photographers to the forefront, with exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Malaga, Madrid, Berlin, and Barcelona, where FotoNostrum has now established a permanent venue.

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing your artistic creations and having you join this remarkable assembly of female photographers. This is your moment to shine alongside your peers. Register now and be a part of this extraordinary journey in the world of photography!
