Cash PrizeThe VADON Association is accepting entries to the 12th TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest.
The goal of the TransNatura photography competition is to promote and support the importance of nature conservation and the protection of natural values through nature photography.
The total prize fund for 2025 is 5,500 Euro – split between a Grand Prize winner and three category winners in two competition categories. The TransNatura 2025 Grand Prize is 1,500 Euro.
There are two competition categories for 2025.
Wildlife — photographs that capture wild animals in their natural habitats. The images can be portraits, action shots, or every-day scenes showcasing animal behavior, beauty, and their role in nature Nature and Landscapes — all images showcasing the beauty and diversity of nature, excluding animals. It covers impressive landscapes, forests, waters, plants, and natural phenomena.
The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers from around the world, with the exception of jury members and organizers.
A key requirement is that the images must be taken in natural habitats without disturbing wildlife. Only wild animals can be included, and photos of captive animals are not eligible.
The works received will be evaluated and decided upon by an international jury. The following competition prizes will be awarded:
TransNatura Grand Prize: 1,500 Euro
Wildlife category:
1st Prize – 1,000 Euro
2nd Prize – 600 Euro
3rd Prize – 400 Euro
Nature and Landscapes category:
1st Prize – 1,000 Euro
2nd Prize – 600 Euro
3rd Prize – 400 Euro
The VADON („Wilderness”) Association is founded in the autumn of 2012 with the aim of designing and implementing projects based on natural values.
