Verzasca Foto FestivalVerzasca Foto aims to promote emerging international photographers and to support visual arts in rural and peripheral areas by giving them the freedom to express themselves through the connection to and dialogue with nature.

We are asking for projects of 3 to 10 photographic images in response to an open theme. An international jury of photography experts will judge the contest and will nominate one winner, second and third place, and seven finalists.
>
Our goal is to promote outstanding projects and to showcase them in the exhibition lineup of the festival in a solo exhibition.

In the past ten editions, the Verzasca Foto Festival Awards have seen numerous high-quality projects from international photographers and selected by leading experts in photography being showcased to our varied audiences. What winners get

The winner will be awarded: 2000 Swiss Francs; Solo Exhibition; Board and Lodging in Ticino during the Verzasca Foto Festival (03.09.2025 - 07.09.2025)
>
2nd and 3rd place will be awarded: a Solo Exhibition each; Board and Lodging in Ticino during the Verzasca Foto Festival (03.09.2025 - 07.09.2025)
>
Seven finalists will receive: Invitation to present their work at the Night of Photography ("Notte della Fotografia") event; Board and Lodging in Ticino during the Verzasca Foto Festival.
>
All finalists and winners are further promoted on the official Festival online platforms.

How to enter
>
We are looking for submissions of photographic projects (digital, analogue, or mixed) composed of a selection of 3-10 images. Projects should be accompanied by a title and a short project description/artist statement. In order to maintain fairness in judging, we ask that all identifying information (name, surname, nickname, watermarks) is removed from the images and files (including the file name).
